Version 1.5 of Stardew Valley has just gone live on your PC, with console versions to come. Described as the game’s “biggest update yet” by developer Eric Barone, version 1.5 includes new game options, a farm, and more.
Beach Farm is the name of the new farm, and that naturally means that you will catch fish. You may forage and scavenge items that are washed up on the shore as well. However, what you can’t do is plant crops, or at least not without trouble. Barone suggests beginning with a more traditional inland farm where the soil is not essentially sand for newcomers.
You can customise the playthrough with the newly added Advanced Game Choices. Barone believes that the “remixed Community Center bundles” that randomise the bundles you receive are tested out by returning players.
A new split-screen co-op mode is also included in Stardew Valley, which you can access by creating a cabin for up to three other players and then adding them to the game menu.
Others include new people to satisfy but are not limited, new ambitions, new objects, new search, new farm layouts, new characteristics, bathing ducks, chairs in which to sit, moving beds, secrets, fish tanks, home refurbishments, etc.
When the 1.5 update comes to the mobile, it’s not obvious. There is “no timeline yet,” according to Barone. But it looks like it’s going to happen.
